Family Business Center Central Valley works hard to provide a variety of events to meet your needs and help you navigate common issues facing family run businesses. Below is a summary of the different types of events we offer as well as a schedule of upcoming events.
Member Education Events
Generally breakfast events are open to all members, sponsors, and invited guests. We have professionally qualified presenters or facilitators to provide education, information, and the facilitation of discussions on key issues facing family businesses.
CEO Affinity Events
These sessions are generally an evening dinner event where CEOs and the most senior leadership of members and sponsors engage in discussions and debates. Some are facilitated by professionals, others are open forum discussions.
Next Generation Affinity Events
These sessions are generally an evening dinner event where the next generation or identified potential high achiever leadership of member companies and sponsors engage in discussions and debates. Some are facilitated by professionals, others are open forum discussions.
Combined Affinity Events
At times the topic or the timing of key issues lead us to combine evening CEO & Next Gen Affinity dinners because we have a presenter or facilitator that meets the needs across the generations. These events will be listed as both a CEO Affinity Event and a Next Gen Affinity Event.
Table of eight
This is a concept we borrowed from the American Leadership Forum where members themselves host small groups of 8 or less to build on networking and social activities. This gives the members the chance to just meet and talk without some formal driving requirement of outcome.
Our social events are designed to be a nice evening of light hors d’oeuvres and libations for our network of members and sponsors to simply enjoy time together having fun and getting to know one another.
